The information security is a very important branch of the computer technology. There is a separate branch of computer security for the security and safety of the information contained in the computer. The aim of this branch is to protect the data and property from being stolen, corrupted or being subjected to a problem due to some natural disaster.

The first computer security you would across would be the security by design. This is a factor in which the computer security is determined by the design it has. This mainly applies to the softwares installed in the system, whether they are trustworthy, whether they have the correct codes and data which are compatible with the system and whether they abide with the rules that are put out on the system.

The next one would be the security architecture. This is a factor in which the security of the system is determined by the security in the architecture of the computer. The architecture of the system and the overall performance is taken into account like the availability, confidentiality, accountability, integrity and the assurance which give the quality of a computer.

Secure operating systems are also essential for the security of a computer. The operating systems are the parts of the computer which undertakes the operation part of the system. It determines the style and the way of execution of the system and how they implement various features into it. Since an operating system is like the backbone of the computer it should be safe.

Secure coding is important as well. This mainly deals with supporting and securing the system from corrupt or bad codes and thereby protecting it form from crashes or other problems which may occur due to these codes. It is an important factor as coding is something which is closely related to the computer and determines its functioning.

Finally, you must consider the access lists and capabilities of the system which is important as well since it would determine the type and kind of softwares and other features that are implemented in the system.
